It’s simple… our wives teach…we are teacher husbands. Each night we hear about the incredible challenges they encountered in their school days. Being protective, and wanting to support our wives and all teachers, we decided to launch Skinny Learning. Skinny Learning seeks to reduce the physical and emotional exhaustion teachers experience. Also, we wanted to support parents in their challenging role as first educators. They too experience physical and emotional exhaustion.
Skinny Learning is simply that…it’s skinny. We are maniacal about keeping solutions to
educational problems as lean and skinny as possible, while still being highly impactful. Our
solutions are neither bloated, nor hard to implement…we think and act skinny!
In truth, our motivations are a bit selfish—we simply want to reclaim some of our wives’ time back in our lives! We believe we can achieve this by skinnying the inputs that go into their work, while maximizing the positive results flowing from their work. Same for parents—we want to support them in supporting their learner’s success.
Combined, we’ve accrued 60+ years of experience in k-12 and higher education learning settings. We’ve got roughly the same number of combined years as husbands and fathers.
Skinny Learning works with teachers and parents to organize skinny systems and solutions producing learning results as efficiently and effectively as possible. Skinny Learning values solutions that:

Operate at classroom levels.
Are viewed by teachers and parents as supportive.
Produce more capable and independent parents, teachers, students, and classrooms.
Result in joyous and long lasting professional relationships with teachers and parents.
Skinny Learning exists to substantially enhance learning via the acquisition and deployment of skinny, effective, efficient learning systems and problem solutions so teachers, students and parents are poised with the knowledge, skills and dispositions needed to meet the world’s current and future demands leading to successful, joyful lives that add substantial value in the classroom, home and in the world.
